Head’s Blog November 2020

November 2020

I am happy to report that the staff and children have returned in very good spirits, from our recent half-term break. We are all refreshed and recharged ready for this next half-term. We are looking forward to remaining open, during the second National Lockdown, in order to support the children’s learning and development.

I have loved seeing the children being investigators, collaborators and explorers, during our Forest School sessions. In contrast, the children have grown in so much confidence, in their  Digital Literacy lessons, each week, delivered by Miss Juliette.  In their weekly Science lessons, with Little House of Science, last half-term, the children carried out experiments and learnt key scientific facts. Last half-term, we hosted a Curriculum workshop for parents, online, including a Tapestry Introduction for parents. Tapestry is an online learning journal that collates each child’s learning, progress and next steps. Our parents are enjoying contributing to their child’s learning journey from home. We are really excited to deliver another workshop for parents, entitled Forest School and Outdoor Learning, later this month. We are currently in the process of organising our individual parent consultation meetings and various festive events!
