It has been busy since we returned from our half-term break, but in a joyful way! We have been celebrating the importance of books and reading this week, through honouring World Book Day! Lots of fun was had by all. It is always a wonderful day. The children enjoy dressing up as their favourite book characters and love the extra time devoted to exploring a wide- range of books and related activities. As part of our Literacy approach, we use core texts and books to promote communication and language and to promote a love of books and story-telling.
We have also been on ‘Chick duty’ for the last two weeks. We welcomed the Living Eggs Project, the day that we returned from our break and the children have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the chick’s hatch and learning about how to take care of them. As if those two exciting events weren’t enough, we were also celebrating International Day too! We are so lucky and proud to be part of such a diverse community.
Thank you so much to our amazing parents who have supported these key events. From chick-sitting over the weekend, to sharing a story with the class, we thank you and salute you!
