Wow! What a fantastic start to the year! Our current children have settled into their routines extremely well and our new starters have also started their settling in process very positively. An extended, but very warm welcome to our new families.

Special thanks to our families who were able to join us for our Ladybird Class and Dragonfly Class Curriculum Evenings last half-term. It was such a treat to welcome so many of you into Rolfe’s for these special events! We explored and engaged with a wide range of events, including: Recycle Week, Black History Month, Healthy Eating Week and International Walk to School week.

Another exciting event, has been the launch of our Pre-Nursery Programme, in October. The programme is specifically aimed at parents and children who are registered on our waiting lists for a place at Rolfe’s.

We are a family-orientated setting, and we know the importance of forging relationships with our parents very early on, which will ensure that each child gets the best possible start to their Education.

The aims of our Pre-Nursery programme are:

  • To equip parents with the right support and advice; provide strategies and learning materials to nurture child development for the 0-2 age range.
  • To provide parents with the opportunity to engage with other like-minded parents and to also get to know our wonderful, highly skilled team of practitioners.
  • To support children in their development and learning at this very early age, ensuring that they have the best possible start to their nursery journey and beyond!

This half-term, we are looking forward to exploring our new topics and preparing for the festivities ahead. Continue to follow our stories on Instagram!

Best wishes,

Miss Elstob
